As part of a series of project activities “Exploring Farmer Groups JOGJA X FUKUDA”, two sessions of virtual workshops were held to create a space for sharing stories and experimenting in creating works, to introduce each other to food sources and agricultural practices between Yogyakarta city, Indonesia, and Fukuda in the city of Shozu-gun, Shodoshima-cho in Kagawa province, Japan.
These two workshop sessions consist of a Food Source Mapping Workshop (July 7-15, 2022) and a Manual Photo Collage Workshop (July 15-20, 2022). All the workshop results will be exhibited at parallel exhibitions at Cemeti – Institute for Art and Society, Yogyakarta, and at Site C of Shodoshima, Asia Art platform.
The Food Sources Mapping Workshop facilitated the participants to document and tell the locations of food sources around them and share them as information that can be accessed by a broad audience using maps and digital galleries on the Panen apa hari ini (Pari) website. The results of this workshop can be seen on the exhibition page “Exploring the Jogja X Fukuda Farmers Group”.
