“The Blacksmith Workshop for Artists”, with blacksmith pak Sukisman,
part of the Museum of the Ordinary Things, Cemeti, 2017.

On 17 and 24 August 2017, pak Sukisman, a blacksmith living in the same village as Eko Prawoto, gave a two-part workshop for artists.

The first workshop focussed on teaching artists how to make tools using traditional iron welding methods. During the second workshop, artists were invited to put their new skills to the test and make “artistic tools” together with Pak Sukisman.
